Weeds sure do like the extra water and fertilizer we give them. Good thing you caught it before you were gifted with seeds in your flower bed!

When in doubt, I yank it or if I'm really curious move it to an area I maintain for further observation. My current collection contains four such specimens. One turned out to be a rogue Calendula. The other a rogue Centurea. Neither look remotely like their parent plants. [Probably due to seed germinating from viable hybrid beddings.] The remaining two are still under investigation. A younger neighbor was convinced I had begun producing some radical new marijuana hybrid. Laughing, I told him that I prefer reality over a nascent internal fog of the mind!
