I'm not familiar with them. I love Karndean products and that's what I always recommend.

We are also looking at the Duchateau vinyl deluxe for our laundry room but cant find any reviews. We are considering the Arno color

My sister just used black Du Chateau flooring. They haven't moved into the house yet, but the floor is beautiful and came very highly recommended. She has black hardwood floors in the rest of the house and I cannot tell the difference between that the the Du Chateau!

We had arctic vinyl deluxe DuChateau flooring installed less than a year ago. I would advise you not to purchase this product. It is extremely difficult to clean and keep clean though we were lead to believe that it was virtually maintenance free. It also scratches very easily .It is only my husband and I in the house and we are definitely not hard on the floor. A rep inspected our floor,a claim submitted to the company but we were denied as we were told that the scratches were all part of normal wear and tear.Stay away from this product!

Wsj1, could you elaborate or maybe even post a picture of the scratches you've experienced with the Arctic Du Chateau? Do they look like surface scratches or do you see color from the core layer or something else? And I'm curious what you mean by being difficult to clean. Thank you for your time sharing your experience, we are close to buying this for our entire main level but I'm now concerned!

I am also considering installing this in our entire main floor. We have two dogs and we're sold on the idea that it is very resistant to scratching. I'd like to hear from more folks who have had this for a while.

DuChateau is a really nice brand, pricier than most LVT/LVP products but a good quality product. I would look into some other brands like IVC Moduleo, Evoke, and Karndean to compare quality/ price etc. We have not installed DuChateau LVT/LVP but we have installed their hardwoods and they are beautiful. Make sure DuChateau has a UV light safe product because if you are installing in a area that receives a lot of sunlight it will create your flooring to expand, contract and warp. Good Luck!!

I carry this product and it does state that it is UV resistant. Have never installed it due to its high price. Most of our customers find a product very similar or better looking in other lines that are almost half of the cost of DuChateau.

we installed it in our laundry room and mud room. its been about 5 months and I really like the look and how its wearing. the only thing is that being a glue down it shows any irregularities in the slab.

In response to questions about Du Chateau flooring scratching : The floor easily scratches . At this time our household consists of my husband and I and our small 15lb dog. Our floors look as if we've had them for 20 years instead of only about 1 . I would be very leery of installing this floor with 2 larger dogs as their nails most certainly will scratch the floor. Any small pebble seems to make a tiny hole in the flooring and the holes show more in this type flooring than in the hardwood floors we had in our previous home. I will say that the color does seem be throughout the floor. Shoes easily scuff the floor and leave black marks that one must vigorously scrub off;I get on my hands and knees and scrub. Other marks show quite a bit too but perhaps it's the lighter color we chose. I would never purchase this flooring again. I would happily spend a bit more and purchase hardwood floors;they look richer and hold up so much better than this flooring. Too, if hardwood scratches you can have it refinished. Hope my comment helps your choice.

wsj1, Thanks for elaborating on your experience. I feel badly that you went through the expense and are so disappointed. I think we may go back to sand on site wood flooring. It will be more expensive but at least we know what we're getting. We had just hoped the luxury vinyl would truly be maintenance free but I trust the reviews of homeowners living with it, not salespeople and installers who don't see it months or years later.

We just had weathered gray plank vinyl du chateau installed in our beach house. We have a dog and i have not seen 1 scratch mark. Very easy to clean also.

We haven't installed it, yet, since we've had a few delays with our home build. It should be in about two months. We aren't scheduled to be completed until around November. Cabinets are in and being painted right now. I'm very anxious to see it, too!

Love your floors! I've been looking at the DuChateau Hyde for a couple months really like how it is so realistic and looks like it hides dirt? Could you please post a couple more pictures, easy to keep clean?

We installed these floors, but apparently you can not put rugs on top of the wood. The wood under the carpet is a completely different color....the customer service rep says the wood needs to "amber" so I got all of my oriental rugs off the floor. If you want wood floors without carpets, these are for you. Otherwise, you are going to have very noticeable and unappealing different floor colors in your wood floors. After 2 years of carpets off the floors...it has not improved. The factory rep was of no use...I am the "only customer he has ever had with this problem". Guess I got lucky.

@Kristy Lewis How are you liking the DuChateau Hyde flooring?

@fredisaduck We LOVE them! We have two smaller dogs (25 lbs) and one Rottweiler (60 lbs), plus three older kids who like to rile them up. So far the only mark I've seen was from the movers dropping something, but even that is tiny and not noticeable. They are super easy to clean. We use a Roomba, regular vacuum and mop w/Dawn dish soap. I have a wool rug with no pad in a couple of rooms and they haven't damaged the floor. You have to be careful not to use rubber-backed rugs or certain pads, though. I'm wondering, @juneadams, if you used a pad? I don't want to damage mine and we've only been in the house for six months. Also, are your REAL wood, or LVP? You keep mentioning "wood", but the discussion was about luxury vinyl plank. Just want to clarify. Her is a link to my home photos, but keep in mind that they have been color corrected. The only issue I can foresee is that in a few places we feel a tiny shift when walking. Barely noticeable, but hoping it doesn't cause a wear issue. Other than that, we are completely satisfied and adore the color. https://blakecraft.com/blue-cedar/

@Kristy Lewis Thank you! Your home is gorgeous! We're looking at getting Youngscombe but the Hyde color is beautiful too. This brand LVP is one of the most realistic we've tried so far. Thanks for the update on how they're working out for you. We have 2 dogs and 5 crazy kiddos so real wood was out of the picture from the get-go. Good to know they are holding up well.

@fredisaduck Thank you! We are really happy with the new house. We've had real wood, tile and travertine in various homes. This is by FAR the easiest maintenance. I don't stress about it at all. It really has proven to be waterproof, as well. Unfortunately, one dog tested that out when we first moved in! I've also used a steam mop on it with no issues.

I know this is an old thread, but I have just installed the DuChateau Filmon LVP in part of my house. I don’t like it, and I’m switching to hardwood for the rest of the house. Here’s what I don’t like about this particular product: the matte finish and deceptively deep grooves in the faux texture make this product difficult to clean. I have some Nike’s with black soles which scuffed the floor and I can’t get that black mark off to save my life - even tried 409 and magic eraser. Also, under direct overhead light this stuff has silver sparkles in it. It is SO odd looking in certain light. Lastly, when put next to real hardwood in my entryway, it looked like cheap plastic. So I’m leaving it in areas where there will be moisture (laundry room, kitchen, bathrooms), but I’m pulling it out of the other areas and replacing with hardwood.

@KristyLewis forgot to mention that this looks HORRIBLE on my stairs. I thought it was the installers so had all the stairnose and planks pulled out and reinstalled, and it is the product. The Filmon stairnose doesn’t really match the planks and it is AWFUL. Will probably pull it all out and put in engineered hardwood.

We are still very happy with the floors a year and a half after installation. No scratches and super easy to take care of.

Also, we did dark contrasting hardwood on the stairs, not LVP.

Hi kristy. Ty! Ours were going in this weekend in an out of state build. I haven’t seen pics yet. But I appreciate your feedback. think we have decided to do a white oak on the stairs. It’s the same color of our beams, powder vanity and living room shelving. We did stain some glue lam a darker color but there was too much warmth. If you get a moment can you share your stairs. 😊💜

Hi Debbie. Considering Duchateau in the color Gillion. Its a medium light greyish/beige color. Staying away from the brighter colors since I can imagine they might show more dirt between cleaning. How are you liking your floors and how are they holding up?

Hi Bj we haven’t moved in yet. But they Are installed with construction still happening and equipment and people in and out. No issues.

Hi Krsty, your floors are so beautiful. We are considering the same flooring and just want to clarify that the color you used is the Hyde color? Also, are they still holding up well. Thinking about using them in a beach Condo and wonder how they would do with sand.

Incredibly poor customer service! My daughter bought over $5000 in Duchateau Moset flooring which I have been installing. My issue is with the matching T-moldings. The bottom tracks for the Moset T-moldings are made of a very brittle plastic and often shatter during installation. I contacted the retailer we purchased from about the problem and asked if I could buy replacement tracks. The retailer contacted Duchateau who admitted that the tracks were brittle, but said that they wouldn't do anything to help. The retailer is disgusted as much as I am.
