Hi, I planted zucchini that were origionally not doing well. They suffered calcium deficiencey and the zucchinis were rotting on the vine. Howerer this was quickly cured by adding egg shells and diluted milk to the soil as well as the unused parts of vegetables that I usually add to my homemade broth. Now my zucchinis are growing and the plant perked up. Howerer, I noticed one zucchini does not feel smooth. It looks like its still growing, just slightly bumpy. Would it still be safe to eat and is that a sign of desease? I just hope after all the trouble of trying to get the plants to survive, I still have plants that bear fruit.
