If you use your sliding patio doors, I would suggest Luminette Privacy Sheers by Hunter Douglas. They are vertical blinds wrapped in sheer fabric and hung on a traverse rod. Great soft look and so functional!

It is no longer a door, as it would open out to the pool which is against regulations in aus. It is just a plain window now.

I have the same patio door. Very difficult to find the right style while accounting for functional issues. These were the concerns I dealt with

Side opening door ruled out panels on both sides (unless you don't mind the drapes being blown or sucked out the door every time you open the door if there is a slight breeze. Drapes also get sucked up against the screen with a breeze. So be careful of that if you use shears-- they get dirty really quickly.

Span is too wide to have a single rod without supports. So that rules out a single draw grommet (which I really wanted)

The only option left to me was a traverse draw (on a wand pull not a string). I chose a linen/cotton drape with a privacy lining. It gives enough room darkening to be able to see the tv. And when there are people using the outdoor, you open the drapes.

I'm really happy with mine and they really pull the room together. Got them from the shade store and hung them with two people - very easy. These go the length of the room and floor to ceiling. It looks like your ceiling might be sloped. If so, you'd have to use the wall mount rather than the ceiling mount. Their hardware is awesome because it's barely visible when the drapes are open. Price was about $1200. My quote (from a different vendor) for silhouette privacy sheers was closer to $4000, but did include motorized draw.

I think full Drapery would really close in the space. I would recommend a Ripplefold Sheer curtain and just on the ends add 2 Decorative drapery panels to frame the window and finish the look. The reason I am suggesting Ripplefold for the patio is because it traverses really well and it comes down really well for cleaning. I would also recommend that whatever fabric you choose for the drapery I would have pillows made for the couches to really tie everything in together.

Maybe a soft white woven shade that only filters the light and stationary shades on the sides....keeps it more modern
