My dad found a bunny nest yesterday and seeing as we already nursed two bunnies who's mother abandoned them and safely returned them to the wild last year, we were interested in the safety of these babies as the nest is located in our front yard. Don't worry, I will not move the babies from their nest, but I have a question. Is it safe for the nest to be crawling with tiny ants? And by that I mean they are crawling on the newborns. The babies are still alive and I believe the mother is still feeding them because the nest looked moved this morning and they are pink and moving, although one of the babies stomach has a little blood on it...one more question. Are mothers repelled by nests whose surrounding grass has been mowed? Sorry for the long post I'm just a little worried.
