Time to show off, for those of us in NE, MW, and NW.

Those who are down south TX, FL, AZ, So CA, AL, LA .. have had their turn long time ago when we were struggling to plant out. hahaha.

Mine have just started to ripen. but things are moving and coming along pretty good.

First here is a long shot of my Tomato (some pepps) garden.

Can you imagine I have close to 50 tomato plants there ? About 12 in pots and the rest in the beds. Like the old TV commercial said: "I can't believe I ate the whole thing!!". Now I can't believe that I have over 50 tomato plant in there.

They stand over 8 ft tall and strong. There is a sign up there : saying : 8Ft

How 'bout some tomatoes ! :Brandy Boys for championship. They are product of double fused flowers.

And Black From Tula. There are alot more.

Alrightie. The next time I will post ripe fruits.

Feel free To post your TOMATO garden/pictures.

Thanks Daniel, goodgroynd and Jennie. Please post your pics n notes

So far so good. Every one of my plants is healthy and some are doing better than the others.

To reach the top ( Right now just for tying and supporting ) I use step ladder, One of them short ones. No fruits up there yet to pic.

I have about 12 dwarfs in pots. Also 3 more indets in pots. Then I have about 12 Determinants (in beds) that are short (~ 5 ft). Then the majority is with the indets, some over 8 ft tall.

    Show yours .

So Sey, you top at 8 ft. tall ?

    Things would become VERY bushy.

No Daniel, I don't top till some time in September, when from there on any new growth/buds is not going to produce any ripe or even near color break tomatoes. Well, how much pickle do I need to make from green maters !!!

Also in the mean time I nip any new sucker as soon as I see one. hehe.

I want to grow tomatoes not jungle. LOL

I have to do more tying and pruning today. And tomorrow, when the clouds and rain are gone, is fungicide time. This time it is Copper's turn. I get Grey Mold and have heard that copper fungicide is more effective on mold. They say !!!

OH, yeah, pick few ripe tomatoes, finally .

I asked you about topping, because I don't know how you will handle 10-12 ft. tall tomatoes...

    > I want to grow tomatoes not jungle. LOL

Hey, that's not a fair statement.

One can have a jungle AND tomatoes, IMHO.

I feel that you're talking about ME and MY jungle.

You simply don't know how many pounds of tomatoes I had last year...

And, you don't know either, if I was pruning YOUR way I would have (much) more crop.

    Simply unsustainable assumption Sey.

If the jungle is because of a high N (in N-P-K) I can understand having a jungle with little fruits, and yes, that's not good.

But when the jungle is because of little pruning, with a lot of tomatoes, that - with all due respect - it's a different story.

We just have to agree to disagree regarding pruning, and to respect each others way of pruning...
