I don't know if Houzz would be the correct place to ask this, but we have a palm tree that seems to be sick or shocked and I'm desperate to save it! We have asked some tree experts and landscapers in Austin where we live, and no one seems to be able to give us an answer. All research we have done is conflicting -- too much water, not enough water.

We planted it almost a year ago, and it has done great so far, until a few weeks ago when we noticed all of the fronds turning yellow and droopy, even the new ones. The tips are also brown, again even on the new growth. Husband thinks it needs more water so he's been lightly watering it.

Are there any landscape experts out there who may know what's wrong with my precious palm? Pics are attached. Thanks in advance!
