Hallway - need inspiration

I just hung this beautiful piece I found recently upstairs in our hallways. I want to place something under it though and not sure what. A small table? A plant? I could do either but I don't know what would look best. Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

Ellandee Design, oh my goodness I can already see it! Do you think a white/cream would look best? Note: I forgot to mention this is upstairs, would that make a difference?

It appears as a long rectangle but when you click on the photo to view, it appears as a small square. Was it taken panoramic by mistake?

No! The fact that it's upstairs does not matter, a traditional flare with a soft cream fabric will flow with the softness you already have going on.

Just make sure you check sizes!! The bench or table whichever you decide should be no longer than 8" on either side or it will feel unbalanced.
