Kitchen remodel

I'm trying to decide what look I'm going for with the lowest cost but is durable and will last. This is my kitchen and haven't started yet. We would like medium to light cabinet wood with no paint applied to them. I like dark wood bit my husband says there's no way. It would close in the kitchen. Wood floors that are tile with three options dark wood or the light dark multi color or natural. The counters I'm looking into man made Quartz for the most durable, long lasting of stones. I have no idea of a color scheme. We are thinking of moving in a few years and want something that most eyes will love. Also, the wood style flooring will be installed in the lower level of the home. Which consists of master bath and bedroom, living room, kitchen. We have stairs leading up to upper level that we will do something els to because of the cost. If anyone has suggestions on a color scheme it would much appreciate. I like modern up to date and my husband likes natural, southern with a class of style for present. He doesn't like any jazz or pozaz and I like some wow to go with style but not much. I'm willing to bend but men seem to sit in their ways and takes more to bend. Please help.
