Pine is soft and dents quickly and easily. It looks "well used" inside of 1 year. I LOVE the look of pine flooring. It has a strong rustic feel to it and BECAUSE it dents quickly you don't have to baby this floor.

Let it DENT! Let it groove and scratch. That is the CHARM of pine! If you are afraid of all of those things - go with ceramic or porcelain tile for the "perfect" looking floor.

Wood will dent and groove and eventually scratch. Pine does it faster than most. You either EMBRACE the "beaten up" look or you walk away from this floor. Love it for what it IS...leave it on the shelf if you cannot live with what it will become - a rustic, well worn floor (well worn = well loved IMHO).

Obviously, we're not privy to your budget or your motivation behind considering the product you mention.

Just be aware of the fact that Pine is a softwood, and many folks think that since it's a wood floor, it is to be considered a "hardwood floor"... which is not so.

If you like the color & texture... you may be better served in considering a HARDwood floor in a similar color & texture...

That way, you'll have the look you want, as well as being able to rest assured you won't be replacing it within a short period.

And don't let the "experts" try to convince you that the finish is what matters in terms of longevity, maintenance, & performance.

Granted, it's an important factor... but the finish can only be as good as the material that is supporting it from beneath.
