polyester

I have a question. I don't make a lot of blankets, pretty much have only made them for my kids. My toddler is in love with elephants right now and I found a really cute elephant print. It's 100% cotton, what I've made their other quilts out of. I just can't find a color/print for the back that I like, and honestly if I spend any more money on material right now my husband might freak out :-) I have a throw blanket that is the perfect shade of grey and extremely soft. But it's 100% polyester. Would it be a bad idea to use that for the back? Should I just buy some more cotton for the back?
