Nothing is terribly wrong with them at the moment - may be not nice, but normal. For the sake of aesthetics you can get rid of those spotted leaves. Try not to cut them severely until the fall unless it really staring to look bad, but make sure you do it in the fall. Dispose the dead leaves ( no composting ) and it is a good idea to get rid of your mulch - could be a source of fungi during rainy weather.

Thanks...I don't like the mulch and had planned on removing it. We've had a lot of rain here in Central Iowa.
