Help: Tomatoes rotten on the wine

I grow tomatoes with container. In 2013, we harvested a lot of tomatoes in our backyard (facing east) container in Central Ohio. This year, we moved to Upstate New York. We planted tomatoes in

the patio (also facing east). After the flower, the tomatoes growed very slow. And a lot of tomatoes got rotten. Please see the picture. We used the leftover seeds from 2013.

How should we do? Please help.

It looks like Blossom End Rot (BER) which is caused by uneven watering. You could pull of any fruit with BER so that the plant can put its energies into growing perfect fruit, then try to water only when the plants begin to look droopy.

imo, the tomatoes would feel happier in bigger pots - at least 10-15 lbs.
