Miscanthus gracilimus not growing

I planted miscanthus gracilimus and fountain grass hameln both on 6/4/15. Both same size pots. The miscanthus isn't growing. Any ideas why? BTW I'm totally new at gardening so maybe I did something wrong. Chicago zone 5 full sun. See the difference in size? Fountain grass is on the left and miscanthus on the right.

Perhaps mis-named?

It looks quite healthy and will be larger next year. It takes usually 3 years to attain full size.

This Miscanthus Gracillimus, on the left, was about 6 inches tall last year at this time. I thought it was dead. The fountain grass, on the right, grew to about 2.5 feet, bloomed, and looked fantastic last year. This year the fountain grass didnt come back. The miscanthus now looks like this. Im new to gardening. Just shocked.

Amazing what a year can do for a plant isn't it? Pity about the Fountain grass but your Miscanthus looks great.
