This window frames a lovely ocean inlet view, the centerpiece of the house(and one of the main reasons we bought it!), and I would love to be able to leave it bare. But it has southwest exposure, and the glare is just too uncomfortable at certain times of the day.

The furnished photo is of the previous owners decor. We are currently renovating and all the trim will be pained white. Walls white as well, quite contemporary furniture in grey tones, the fireplace has been replaced with a grey stacked stone. The window area will have an off white Eames chair and ottoman, and another chair and small unit to house some AV equipment.

My first solution is white roller blinds to start below the transom windows. My priority is to get the window treatment to disappear as much as possible when closed. They will be quite large though when open. Also, maybe its better to cover the transoms. Other options are to mount some very sheer muslin type curtains that will stack up very thin on the sides when not needed. The glass roof I don't want to touch, there are some strange draping techniques for that kind of glass ceiling, but less is more IMO!

Are there other options I am missing? Appreciate any advise :)
