Put each one into a plastic trash bag, press the air out and seal it with a wire tie.

Then put them into boxes to protect the plastic and make them easier to stack.

I got some "space bags" from Harbor Freight and am very impressed with them. Have stuff stored in my attic, quilts, pillows, etc.

I remember storing baby clothes that were put away clean, then when I got them out for the newest baby, stains had developed. Why, I don't know. So if anything is high dollar, like fancy-shmancy comforters, you might want to check with a dry cleaners about long-term storage, unless you've always washed them and don't anticipate stains. Also, I've had wonderful results from washing light-colored items with Oxi "White Revive." It cleans very, very well and smells great.

I would use "Space Bags" because it seems like vacuuming all of the air out of the linens will help preserve your pillows and comforters, and make it less likely for pests to live in storage without air.

Space bags are great but I would also place those space bags (once vacuumed) into translucent plastic containers with lids just because that way everything can be stacked neatly. If left just in the bags, items take very odd shapes and it's hard to make them stay neatly stacked on the shelves.

I put clean/dry bedding items in spacesaver bags. The bags were then placed in plastic storage bins with moisture absorbency packs and sealed with packing tape. The movers then put the plastic bins in card board boxes and sealed them shut with packing tape. They ended up being in a storage unit (with no temp control) for 6 years!!! The bedding was perfect. I think keeping it dry is key.

Agree with space bags, air tight and placed in plastic storage containers with moisture control! Also worth storing in a climate controlled warehouse, especially if you live in an area with temp variations. Had some friends who moved with their items packed by movers in cardboard boxes.s It was stored for a few months and all came out moldy. The had moved from a climate near the water so there was moisture in all their clothes, shoes, linens etc and the cellulose in cardboard is a food source for mold so it was a total mold spore explosion when they opened the boxes. They had to throw it all out.
