I'm not a huge fan of the current color...looking for something different but it doesn't have to be gray. We liked the idea of blue but I'm not sure.

I think I like the blue swatch closest to the fireplace, but remember, once the current color is gone, it's going to look totally different.

I like the color closest to the fireplace for the living room. I think Anew Grey will look nice with the navy in the adjoining room. I know everyone is tired of gray, but it still is a nice nuetral and will go with a lot of things. I've always liked gray though. If you decide against the gray, I'd do an off-white in the kitchen and still have the navy living room.

I also like the blue swatch closets to the fireplace. Perhaps just reducing that blue to 40 percent (or a couple of shades lighter on the paint chip) for the living room will assure color cohesiveness.

I think that both blues are too dark.

Thanks for mocking it up - I like the idea of blue to make the trim pop and feel that the camel color on the sofa and the tobacco leather chair will look rich against blue, but I'm not sure how long it will take before I tire of it. I looked back at my favorite rooms on house and realize they went neutral on paint and accented with pillows and rugs. In fact one of the living rooms shows Anew Gray on the walls but when I painted the swatch on my wall, it shows up way more gray which I feel clashes with my sofa. The next darkest to Anew Gray is Mega Greige, perhaps I should check that out.

There's an overload of gray, but that's because it's so darn versatile! It's a great neutral. I really think your current color is very dated and I applaud your decision to change it up! I nice warm gray (more greige) would look fantastic and using accents of navy blue like your first inspiration picture would be great. You have a pretty house and nice layout!

YOUR SWATCHES ARE WAY TOO DARK FOR THE ROOM

It's only paint and it's one room, not a whole house. Try the blue if you think you will like it. You've got lots of white to brighten it up.

I don't care for the current color but the blues seem very dark.

The blue closest to the fire place is beautiful and will play wonderfully with the gray. The room will have a cozy aspect even with all of the white trim.

I think the blue swatches are quite strong and with your dark furniture, they just don't feel right to me. Like you mentioned, I think you'd tire of them quickly. I also agree the anew gray clashes with the sofa, so I'd consider other choices.

Thanks everyone. The back splash and granite will be replaced within the next six months- leaning towards a very light quartz and subway tile, maybe pulling in the marble from the fireplace in the living room.
