Not sure what you want to do to update the baths. Without adding on, unless it is in some way problematic it would be easiest to work with the existing footprint or space arrangement of the bathrooms. If you don't want to keep the existing tile, one option would be glazing over it. We moved into a house where they had had a 1950's era pink bathroom including tub glazed over in white and it was really a great job, you couldn't really tell. Given that you have so much tile in both rooms that might be something to consider - would have professionals do it though. Other than that, clearly could use new cabinets, sinks, remove the existing wallpaper and window treatments and go from there. Might want to check with a kitchen and bath designer about the reno. You can update the tile & vanity without knocking out walls. If you aren't in love with the double sink, you could gain some space by downsizing. I just replaced one in a home I'm renovating, the old vanity went wall to wall.
