My wall mounted radiant heat fireplace with ceramic glass reaches +1326 degrees F. and 12" of space directly above the glass is untouchable when fireplace is on. I need to source non-sanded high temp. caulking to install my non-combustible tiles on the entire surrounding walls. (white or clear ) It needs to be remain flexible under such intense heat. Does anyone know where I might source such a product. A Contractor I spoke with, just installed a similar fireplace, using regular tiles and regular grout, only to have it now cracking.
Should I be checking out the refractory products. Can someone point me in the best source direction please.
