Thanks! I bought it as a noid from a Wal-Mart. I'm guessing Purple Rain or Purple Rose. Although I personally can't tell the difference between those two other than the name.

Loving the first plant, the gap in the bottom is really interesting and unique. Are you going to keep raising it to a large arch?

Thanks! Nick, I was thinking of keeping the large arch and raising it more and more. Will have to see how it continues to develop. This was one where I had totally cut off the bottom and let it re-root and to start spreading outward a little while it was about 8 months old or so. I had used a plastic bottle cap as the barrier so the new roots had sprouted, spread out a little then downward. I did not have a large plastic disc to keep the roots going outward at the time.

Kirk, your plants are beautiful. I am one who loves the caudex much more than the flower. However, right now I have most of my caudex buried deep in hopes of getting large interesting twists and curves.

I too love the way the one has a nice arch. But my favorite is the 3rd photo from the bottom. It looks like the michelin man on the run. LOL. Love it.
