I would take everything out of the room and begin. My first move after that would be to put the sofa along the wall where that black cabinet is. Not the cabinet with the picture over it, but the long wall. I would not want my back to the outdoor view. I then would put a chair on each side of the sofa, with each chair facing in to form a conversation pit.

OK, what I like about this set up is it opens up the view to the pool;) I can't tell but maybe it needs to be tightened up a bit? so that all 3 pieces are accessible to the coffee table. How are you feeling about it?
