Help! Contractors, how do I repair this? I need advice

Here are some pictures of my damage. We just finished an entire home remodel and this happened. We've been in the house a month so its brand new installation. My daughter dropped a glass and the tile chipped and now I have a small hole in the tile. I can stick my finger in the hole, maybe 1/4 inch. All our floors were floated so this is so upsetting. I don't want to replace the tile because it is right around the island. Can I fill the hole with something and use a tile chip repair kit? Help me please. I want a few opinions beside my contractor or tile contact. If there are any tile contacts or contractors that would help me with advice and maybe I can do it myself. Thanks Daniela

You could put the same color grout in it.

Try auto body bond o type repair kit ,and feather in the paint to match

Call your tile guy and have him replace with an extra tile. This is why we always order extra tile for a job. Tile is often discontinued and it's good to keep extras for accidents like this. Won't be a big job at all.

I agree with Sandy. I am not clear why you do not want to replace the tile. Hopefully, you have some left over pieces so a match would not be an issue. If you don't it is that much more urgent that you get some additional pieces from the vendor in the hopes that it would still be from the same production run and hence have minimal color variations.

Replacing a piece of tile in a 'field' is no big deal.

The tile setter needs to make sure to use the same grout and let it fully cure before applying the sealer or you'll have color variation issues with the grout. Note though that regardless of how perfectly the materials, mix and application methods would match the original install, there will be variations for a while until setting materials fully cured, etc.
