The spot you described sounds fine. I wouldn't periodically put any plant in more light than it's already used to. That can cause sunburn, just like the skin of a person who's not used to being outside. Rotating it halfway once a week or so can help keep it from leaning toward the light. If you're able to share a pic of your new beauty, that would be fun. Everybody loves more plant porn.

As Tiffany said "the spot.....sounds fine". Sans are very tough and tolerate different levels of light. They do best with Bright filtered light. But they adapt to most. Too low for too long will eventually take its toll but they will tolerate lower levels of light for very long periods. Cold and damp (soil) is a killer. They like to be dry before they get watered. Never let them sit in water. It is best to give them a good watering as apposed to little sips of water as this causes mineral salts to build up in the soil. Very stingy on the water in winter, cold and wet = death. They are a very good plant and easy to care fore if they are allowed to dry out before re watering. Unglazed terracotta pots work best, but they grow fine in plastic pots also. The is a lot of information on this forum and lots of helpful Sansevieria lovers who will be glad to help.
