ok...so need some guidance on this old door...it is a hand carved door from Bali. ...was not quite tall enough so bought a piece that I thought would go, however, it needs some work. I thought about building out the sides on the bottom, adding some trim to the inner grate, and then filling painting and distressing the door to match. may or may not work. other option..trim it poo ut, fill the cracks, pick a color and paint it one, glossy color - it will lose the distressed look a bit, but will cover all that looks awkward now. what do you think?
