Hello people on Houzz!

I have two questions,

1. First: what color do I paint this fence?
caveats: it's ugly and will eventually be replaced with a new fence. In the mean while, we want a cheap fix - I.e. Paint. The siding, garage door are the same Grey, and the concrete on the drive way is a lot of dark grey. I'm leaning towards either a dark blue, shade darker than the door or a dark brown. Thoughts?

2. Second, the two car driveway and garage add value to the house so we don't want to rip it out, but I would like to reclaim more space for the small back yard we have. Can anyone show us ideas of how they have integrated driveways into backyards with fences and permeable barriers ( like trellis / espalier). I'd like to take down the side of the fence perpendicular to the garage, but don't want to loose privacy.

We are sure at the minimum we will take out concrete, put in permeable pavers, add some flowers on the sides.
