Ok, this is actually two questions. I have a cutting that I've had since June. It had two little roots but I think they snapped off when my cat brushed the plant and wiggled it. It looks like it has a few very short roots on it (I'm talking like 1 mm) and I'm more than willing to root it again, but this morning I noticed an inflo growing on it. It's like 1/3 of an inch long and still green, but definitely an inflo. Should I remove it? I've heard that they inhibit root growth but I'd like the plant to branch as well, it's only a single tip cutting. What's the best course here? Also, a friend gave me a very thick cutting of a plumeria I've had my eye on for a while. It looks healthy, but every time I try to callus it, I start to see small grey spots on the end. I've tried recutting it several times but this keeps happening. Is this actually mold or am I just imagining things? I callus them by covering the ends with plastic wrap. Ive found that cuttings seem to dry out rather than callus if I leave them out (weird, because I live in a tidal marsh on Long Island). I'm relatively new to plumeria so any help would be appreciated, I don't want to lose either cutting
