So, I made a mistake and ordered a set of glass and chrome end tables from and a coffee table from Bloomingdafles. I like the style and have them in my white leather living room. the indigo purple sofas are in my family room without any tables. I am thinking of breaking up the set and using the glass and chrome end tables in the family room with the purple sofas. I would leave the glass coffee table with the leather. is this a bad idea? can anyone make suggestion for tables to complement each room if I go in that direction? thanks in advance.

Great idea. Consider using mirrored end tables in the living room. Put the end tables at each end of the sofa, the chair and sofa can share a table.

Your rug looks brown to me also, but I wonder if that is supposed to be a purple like the curtains. Brown wouldn't work in that room. You have beautiful pillows, but they don't connect with the curtains or rug. The pillows look good with the art. You need to decide on the blues with the art or purples with the curtains. Consider changing art and pillows for purple in the room. Use white curtains and a white rug and go with the blue pillows and art work.

If you want a white living room, I would go all white, keeping the glass tables there, and changing the brown rug for a white rug.

I like the glass tables with the white leather furniture. I think they would be too light weight with the heavy looking furniture in the family room. I would get wood end tables for the ends of the purple couches.

Leave the glass and chrome in the white room. It matches the whole aesthetic of the room. Not so much in the other room.

Besides agreeing with leaving the glass and chrome in the white room, any chance of the big blue vase getting scooted back into the corner without the flowers?

I think I'd keep the glass and chrome with the white furniture, but I might move the large chair to the left so it's lined up better with the length of the coffee table. Then, I'd move its side table and lamp to the corner formed by the sofa and chair (on the other chair side), moving the blue vase as Margo suggested.

I think the glass and chrome tables look "lost" next to the white leather furniture. I would suggest you get wood end tables and maybe an oval-shaped coffee table with a glass insert top for this room. I do believe the glass and chrome set would look better with the purple upholstery as the lightness of the glass will contrast with the purple and will be more visible against a dark color.
