Has anyone ever used or heard of using backsplash as a bar countertop? We are updating our basement and currently have a laminate countertop. I was thinking of laying backsplash on top and then using an epoxy of some kind to create a smooth surface. We don't want to invest too much in the bartop as it will only be used for the occasional party, not daily use. Here is a picture of the current countertop. Any advice? If backsplash doens't work, are there any other inexpensive suggestions?
