Hi! I moved into a 2 story 700 sq ft cabin in PA a month ago, with est. 10,00-15,000 lb of my stuff en route from Hawaii where I've retired from. The cabin is rented from the land owner who lives in another house. The movers finally contacted me my stuff is arriving next week, and at this point the owner told me to check if his house can support my things ![!]. I told him that I've had my things in other houses and checked building codes and it should be no problems, but he now informs me the cabin was put together by a neighbor 20 years ago, who is no longer around to consult, without any regard for building codes. How concerned should I be that the 2nd floor may collapse and is there any way to [preferably quickly] get an idea of structural integrity? Thanks!
