My initial idea was for you to wall paper that wall, but looking more closely I think you need to add some pops of color. Remove the 3 pics on the wall, put the a small console table there and a big piece of art or a mirror. Also, brighten up your sofa, the blues, creams and green of the plants and carpet are pretty, but a bit...boring, sorry :-). Add some pillows or decor in an accent color like Orange, Silver, or tone down the cream coffee table, wood color would be better and then use cream accents. Maybe Cream and Olive green with a slight mix of Gold would be pretty. Please post more pics, it's a nice room.

I think I would move the three photos and place them where the map is...will fit on that wall better and then add a large piece of artwork that had blues and greens - will help balance the large pieces on other side of room, but also bring color and interest.
