We just bought a home and need to update everything. We can't do it all at once. The carpets upstairs are trashed and we need to remove and do the bedrooms, hall and stairs first. I want to go hardwood but I'm unsure what color to pick. We won't do the first floor for at least a year. I have no idea what I want for the kitchen yet. I want to make sure that what I pick for the upstairs will flow to the downstairs and not be a problem when I try to design a kitchen around the hardwoods I have to choose now. I would prefer for the upstairs and downstairs to be the same color. I want wider plank and not Espresso. What color is the most versatile but not boring?
