An Ice dam is build-up of ice at the eaves of roofs, eventually water backs up underneath the shingles and could leak into home. There are two ways to prevent this from happenng 1. remove the snow 3 feet from the gutter edge 2. To make sure your home is always properly ventilated (your attic space should be the same temp as outside)
