I'm patio gardening and usually get sun starting at 2 pm (west facing). But everyday for the last few weeks, the clouds roll in right around 2 and stay the rest of the day. Poor plants, all clouds, all of the time. Tomatoes, eggplant, jalapeno, and bell pepper seem to be growing OK but I wish they had more sunlight....
