So sorry, but it's my honest opinion that it doesn't do anything for your room. It goes with your sofa and the cushions but not the rug. Take that photo with you when you're shopping so you can get advice on what ottoman would be better for your room. Good luck, my dear.

A little late, but I have some suggestions in case you still have your sofa.
I think it has many possibilities.
- you can make everything come together by painting the wall behind the sofa with a beautiful matching Blue.
- Add some more blue elements.
- a piece of art, like a painting or a mirror on top of the sofa.

Like the ottoman, are you open to removing the rug? Which is more Important to you?

Instead of trying to find another place for your ottoman and spending more money on a new one, why not have a slipcover made for this in a solid color or tone on tone print that would work with your rug? It shouldn't be very expensive at all to do so.

The ottoman gives the room a more sophisticated vibe than the rug. I can see why you like it! Can you move the rug somewhere else? I would do solid color velvet pillows in jewel colors on the couch. Do you have wall to wall carpet? If so, don't use an area rug.

Agree, the brown in the carpet is not a great tone with your sofa. I love your ottoman. Can you repurpose the rug in a den or bedroom?

I'm in agreement w/ ashtonic & changing the pillows as well. to plain jewel tones.

I appreciate all your comments! I'm going with asthonchic, the ottoman gives a different look, besides i chose it but didn't choose the rug, it came with the sofa. Although i like it i'll remove it because, yes, i have wall to wall carpet. Let's see how it looks after that!

Love the ottoman- but not with the rug- if I had to choose I would get rid of rug and try one that has a very small print.

I'm a big believer in mixing patterns, but IMO the ottoman doesn't work with either the sofa or the rug.
