Help with stucco on leaning retaining wall

Have a 4 ft cinderblock retaining wall that rings our house. It's probably 50 years old, is leaning at about 15 degrees on the eastern side and has a fissure at a corner with separation up to 1.5 inches. An engineer looked at it and said that it's probably not going to fall over anytime soon so we don't want to replace it. we'd like to power wash then stucco it and patch/repair the crack. any advice? will the stucco crack right away?
