I'm one day away from putting a deposit on a custom trestle table. We've been looking at tables for probably half a year and we really want this one because we love the quality, finish and size; however, we still can't decide on chairs. I usually see chairs on here that are a parson style or slipcovered paired with this style table but my husband isn't a fan. We have two little ones, and I want them to be able to feel comfortable enough in there to use the dining room as well. We had been looking at a french country style chair, but were considering chair pads on wood chairs - and only upholstered chairs at the ends. I had posted about this earlier but I didn't know how to give my post a "bump." Does any one have any more suggestions?

Also, do you think it's safe to order the table while we're still pondering chairs? I even thought to wait until we had it in the room, since we don't know if we'll want it open at 84"or 104" for everyday. It maxes out at 124." Taping dimensions on the floor is one thing, but actually seeing it in there may be different.
