I just moved into this house a year ago and really want to update my kitchen. I have two dilemmas, one the floor and the two, the cabinetry.

The cabinets are excellent quality but just not my style, so I would still like to keep them but change them a bit and paint them white or cream. I have attached a photo of the look I like. Anyone know what I can do to these to make it look like my inspiration pic? Is there anywhere out there (I am in Toronto, Canada) that does this type of cabinet makeover? I have included a few pics of the current kitchen as well as what I want it to look like.

Secondly, my kitchen, dining room and family room /great room are all in one. I need flooring ideas. I would like hardwood floors in the family room and eating area, but don't want it in the kitchen for water concerns. I would prefer a nice stone floor. I live out in the country and like the urban country look. The problem is that there are two doors that don't line up, on either side of the space and they are not the same size, so I can't figure out how or where to delineate the two flooring materials. I have added a pic of the floorplan and indicated the traffic flow corridore from the hall to the back door, and you see the doors are askew. Any ideas?
