Morning glory. When it dies off, collect the seeds & u can put all over. The dead vines can be a nightmare tho!

Thank you for your ID help! Another question: do you know if this is an annual? "Dead vines a nightmare," why please. I was looking for a plant to soften the fence between our home and our neighbor's garage. I'd like something that is low-maintenance, covers quickly and stays green--maybe this won't do. Thank you again!

It is an annual, so morning glory won't suit your purpose.

Where are you generally? To get a suggestion for an evergreen vine a location is needed. To add it to your profile so that it posts with your name on all GW posts:

It's not an annual, it's the perennial Ipomoea Indica, and usually it don't produce seeds.

How perennial it is will depend on location. Certainly not reliably winter hardy below zone 9, which eliminates a very large portion of the country.,

I live in zone 9A, (-7ºC / 19,4º F last winter), and Ipomoea indica is root hardy here and still invasive, as you can see here too: http://bit.ly/1VQEV56

I have two varieties, the usual deep blue, and the light blue 'Edith Piaf'. In the pictures you can see another perennial, Ipomoea cairica, hardy to zone 9B, -needs winter protection in my area.
