What a beautiful photo! Thank you for sharing. I love limelights but don't have any right now. I have two places saved for limelights but haven't gotten them yet. I have 3 Strawberry Vanillas that I love dearly. Compared to my roses they are carefree and always reward me with beautiful blooms that have lasted for months. I'm hoping to add some little limes next year as well. I never get tired of seeing hydrangeas.

Thanks for the comment. I have a vanilla strawberry but have yet to see that pretty pink to mauve color. I've had it for two years so will give it another year before I move it. It may be getting too much sun. I agree - they are carefree plants. This summer we've had regular rain so I've had to water only once.

If you really like the pinker tones, my Quickfire turns a really bright cherry pink. It is in almost all day sun, though mid-day it gets a bit of dappled bright shade.

I have a quick fire and a pink diamond. The quick fire is in shade. The pink diamond in sun. The quick fire has pink color but not popping like I see some others. Blooms on half are darker because that half gets more

My neighbor has one in full sun and it looks better so I think I will move mine to a sunnier spot or take out some limbs of a crape myrtle shading it. The Pink diamond I think is getting sunburned. I need to do a lot of moving stuff around this fall.

Top photo is my neighbor's - and the pink is actually deeper and brighter than this cell phone picture. . Bottom photo is mine in shade. I think the shade make it look dull.
