You don't necessarily need color for the walls. You can definitely achieve a beautiful contemporary home by just adding color with the furnishings and art and accessories. See inspiration pictures below.

Thank you for your response Mark. It does reassure me and eases my self doubt on this . The second reference specially is what I envision to , as I also did not separate the whole space ( walls and ceiling by painting two different shades of white. I do think that colors on walls can limit the possibilities specially if we from time to time attempt to "reinvent " the room design in the future . How do you feel about stratigically using designer wall paper . Again , perhaps very limited way , and just to highlight and create a fantasy , or that also will eventually limit the possibilities of a blanc "canvas ". I placed a free standing (plastic ?) contemporary bath tub in a long / large master BD RM and it sort of looks randome now / before furnishings , etc .... It's on one end of 12' by 22' room and is centered .
