for so many it is a radical concept. a house where you don't need a map and a scooter...

A memory: When we were engaged and were buying our first house, we were DEAD SET on a small, inexpensive house. We were both straight out of college, and -- not knowing what the future would bring with children and jobs -- we didn't want to lock ourselves into an expensive house payment.

When we explained to our realtor that we were firm on our rather low budget, she actually commented, "Y'all must have some high debts". We actually had none, but apparently some people think the only reason you'd buy a small house is that you COULD NOT buy a big house. We didn't correct the mistake; it was easier just to run with it rather than suffer through viewing larger houses we weren't going to choose to buy.

Cute!
