I have had tubular pulls in my last 2 kitchens never hooked a pocekt on them they are really almost hidden under the overhang of the cabinets so not much sticking out I get mine from Lee Valley i like the all the sizes that are available they also don’t stick out as far as some. As for sizes I think they look best when all the pulls are in proportion to the drawers or cabinets something like this pic.

Thank you Patricia Colwell, that is very helpful. I do have a fairly large kitchen with an island and the walkway between the island and stove wall is my main concern. maybe i'll take my husband to a kitchen store and have his brush by some installations!

Actually I went and tried to hook my pants pcket on mine and it is impossible I think the trick is to make sure the ones you get don’t stick out from the cabinets past the overhang maybe my overhang is larger than most.

They are from Lee Valley the ones with the wood background are the ones I have but the other ones might solve the whole problem I’m thinking.

Thanks Patricia. I have been looking at something like what you show on the bottom but the top is my real fave! I've sent my husband out to check on them. I'm not worried for myself but he tends to "catch" on many things... be it uneven floors or protruding objects!

I find the oners from Ikea and some other places are clunky looking and seem to stick out further.
