Changing the garage doors is a must do. Add wide trim around the windows so they appear larger. You do need to tame the shrubs.

Paint the garage door the wall color..even if you change the color..Also III's idea of wider trim around everything will be a huge effect. Paint these wider pieces of trim a shade or 2 different than the wall & door color.

If you change the garage door, they make beautiful ones that have decorative glass panels on the top. That will add some character to the doors and the house.

I would paint the small section one color like lighter color and garage section darker shade of color. Trim window in lighter color.

I agree with Scott that you need to trim back the shrubs and maybe re landscape to guide visitors towards the front entrance and door. All you see fro the street now is the garage door and the heavy shrubbery. The garage door and lower half of the building is very low as compared with the upper half of the building. I agree that painting the lower portion of the building and the garage door a deeper shade would enhance the curb appeal.
