What is the maximum acceptable gap between the door and the frame (on each side and top and bottom)? I have had a bunch of cabinets made for other
parts of our house over the past 3 years and we are in
the process of doing our kitchen now. we have used the same cabinet maker for all cabinets and he told us that he
recently changed his tolerances to 5/32 from 3/32. The cabinets in the
other rooms are 1/16-3/32 gap and they look great and we now have these new kitchen cabinets with 5/32"++ gaps that look too big). Our cabinetmaker told us that 5/32
is an acceptable standard in the industry. Is 5/32 gap on each side and
top and bottom acceptable and the standard in the industry? Any insight
you can provide would be appreciated and hope to get some input from some cabinet makers!!!.
