Time to replace our windows - Design dilemma

We've decided to replace our windows. We currently have 5 windows in the front of the house. All are slider windows. We decided it would be more practical & cost efficient to keep sliders instead of changing to double hung. We've already decided for vinyl & probably will go with Milgard's Tuscany series. The window on the right above the garage will probably have privacy glass as we converted that room into a walk-in closet. All the others will be clear without grids or lines of any kind.

My dilemma is what to do for the exterior trim. We're trying to avoid doing a block window with no flange because we've heard that those often fail regarding water infiltration. So we will have to cut the siding to remove the current windows, install windows with a flange so we can do proper flashing & waterproofing & then build a trim to cover that.

We like having a nice curb appeal. We don't want to change our windows & suddenly make it look tacky. I know black vinyl window frames are available & might look good with the tile roof, the brick & black iron we have but all the ones I've seen scratch really easily so we decided so far to stick with white vinyl sliding windows.

As you can see my siding is diagonal so that poses potentially another
problem visually. So whatever we do should probably be subtle but I
want it to look classy & flow with the rest of the look of the
house.

For the 3 windows next to each other (living room windows) I'm thinking of using a wide plank between the windows & framing the outer edges only. So one frame for all 3 windows. But what kind/style? Once that is decided, we would use the same frame for the other 2 windows above the garage. So whatever we choose would have to work for those 2 windows also. notice the limited space between the bottom of the windows & the roof of the garage.

My current windows are brown aluminum with no exterior frame. IN case the colors don't show well on the picture, the color of my siding is Benjamin Moore "Sailcloth", my accent color is currently Benjamin Moore "Seagrape" (which is pretty much a dark purple), my tile roof is reddish brown & my porch & flower beds are all in red brick.

So style/design of exterior frame? Same color as siding or paint the frame a different color?
