Where to plant hydrangeas in my yard

Hi everyone! We are newcomers to South Georgia and looking for advice on where to plant hydrangea in the yard. The yard already has some type of shrub growing along the house, and I'm wondering if I put the hydrangea there if the roots will interfere with each other.
Any advice is appreciated!
