I don't think so either.

The dining room is completely open with the kitchen. There is another pair of windows over the sink in the kitchen but I'm guessing the advice of it not mattering still applies? I love that I can have freedom to put something up. We now have a buffet in front of them but they always look like they are floating to me-- some curtains would beef up that entire wall I think.

Your bay window with seat is so pretty: no need to cover it with a window treatment. Plus, you have color and fabric with the pillows and seat cushions. Just pick up one of those colors/fabrics and use it in the side window treatments -- the room will seem perfectly balanced.

if it was me, i'd put up single panels on the outside windows of your bay, pulled back. you might do it just for visual warmth in the winter that you have, take them down in march.

match heights with your side window, so, all to the top of the bay trim.

you could put them on crane rods, so there wouldnt be the sense of rods missing in the center section. also fewer holes in your casing. (picture of the rod, not advocating these drapes...)
