McAdams did an amazing job taking our remodel from idea to reality. They helped us come up with a design and plan that fit within our budget and timeline. Our project added approx. 500 sq ft to our home, adding a new bedroom and bathroom, and completely upgrading our primary suite. During construction the McAdams team was great to work with. They were able to manage delays effectively and worked to ensure the project was complete before the holidays! Several of my neighbors even commented about how great they were during construction. Our project manager proactively went around to each of the homes in our neighborhood to get ahead of any issues before they arose. Great job all around!

We recently wrapped up on an extensive remodeling project complete with a revised second story bedroom, large balcony, new main level deck, and outdoor kitchen. We could not be happier with the finished product or with the experience we had with McAdams. Everyone we worked with was professional, friendly and helpful. Further, there were no surprises along the way from start to finish with regard to scope of work or expense. Additionally, our project was tricky from a permitting perspective and we decided to do a complete landscaping project in tandem with our remodel. McAdams was willing to work with us and the landscaping company to sync our permits and carry out the work while coordinating project timing. McAdams delivered on all of their promises and their craftsmanship is excellent. At one point, we had something turn out slightly less than perfect and when we brought it to their attention, they completely revised it to make sure it met their standards. Our finished project turned out better than we had hoped. We would not hesitate to recommend McAdams and definitely plan to use them again for future projects.

This year we completed a major renovation with McAdams. A few years ago we had them redo our powder room and laundry room as a test run to see what they were like to work with. Suffice it to say, we were so wowed by the experience that we knew we could trust them to complete the big project that we had been hoping to do for years. This whole-house remodel involved a complete kitchen redo, removing and adding walls to reconfigure our floor plan, a complete redo of our master bath, and expansion of our house's square footage with two small additions (one to the kitchen and one to our bathroom). In addition, every room in the house was "touched" in some way: new lighting throughout, new millwork, changing out regular doors for pocket doors, new plumbing fixtures, new paint. Our house has been completely transformed through this process. We always knew our house had great bones, and we love the area we live in and our neighborhood, but the 70s layout and "handyman special" upgrades left much to be desired. After this renovation, our house is now what we always hoped it could be. As for the process of working with McAdams, I don't think it could have gone much smoother. Any major renovation is going to have some headaches and glitches, but Dale and his team do everything they can to minimize that. Almost all of the glitches we hit were due to supply chain problems and were not the fault of McAdams. We started planning this project about six months to a year before the start date. During that time, we met regularly with owners Kat and Dale, architect Cindy, and designer Kristina, to work out exactly what we envisioned for our project. For me, working closely with Kat and Kristina was essential. I feel like I "know" what I want, but I can have a very hard time expressing it at times. Somehow, these two amazing ladies were able to translate my cryptic musings into reality. I don't know how they did it! Once the groundbreaking started, we got to know the amazing crew who worked on our project very well. Our lead carpenter was Chris, and he is a great guy to work with. He has extremely high standards for his workmanship and for those around him, and you see that in the finished results. He and his team are not the kinds to cut corners just to get done quicker. The other carpenter who worked with him most of the time was Hamza, and he is also a wonderful guy: polite, kind and incredibly hard working. McAdams hires great subs, and our favorites by far are the electricians they work with: Ron, Bart, Brandon and Aidan. Honestly, by the end of this project, I kind of felt like this whole group was part of our family. We miss everyone now the project is over. Our consolation is that we now get to live in a house that is exactly what we always hoped for and that we hope we will live in for a long time.

Dale, Kat, Mark and the rest of the team did a fantastic job on my mom's remodel. As my mom's old home was in dire need of a makeover, we decided to entrust the remodeling project to a professional company. McAdams did an excellent job on a remodel that included an extension with a new crawl space, added bedroom square footage, and a new bathroom. I had regular touchpoints with Dale, and Chris, the PM, was always available for updates or questions. They dealt with scope changes quickly, including roofing and HVAC updates. I highly recommend this professional group and will be using them again!

We were very happy with our choice of McAdams and highly recommend them. We worked closely with Dale, the President, whom also served as our project manager, and even more closely with Chris, whom was the superintendent on our job. We added 500 sq feet to our home, and updated our exterior complete with new windows and doors throughout the house. We have received many compliments on how great our home now looks! Chris was on site almost daily and was an absolute pleasure to work with; definitely a perfectionist. We weren't as happy with some of the subcontractors but Chris and Dale made things right for us, and appreciated our feedback which should help future clients. After having done such a great job turning our unfinished storage and laundry area into a beautiful living space, we again contacted McAdams Remodeling and Design to do a complete remodel of our kitchen. Dale and his team of skilled professionals continue to be a pleasure to work with. We've worked with McAdams on multiple remodel projects and give them the highest rating in service, quality, and value. We love working with everyone there. The latest project was a full house re-model. Windows, floors, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and even the garage doors were re-done with the added challenge of the Covid pandemic. Stress levels were kept to a minimum with Kat, Dale, and Kristina, their awesome designer, working with us the entire step of the way. Kat and Kristina would visit different suppliers with us to work on options for every phase of the project (kitchen, bathroom, floors). We made good design and material decisions and are so pleased with the results. Thanks to Kat's good eye, the old fireplace is now gone, replaced with open space that shows off a spectacular view from the kitchen to the dining room to the living room. Anyone who sees it says "Wow!". Dale always kept us informed on timelines and progress with our weekly meetings. Timelines were challenging at times with the pandemic and we appreciate Dale's transparency when something needed to change. The change order process was easy to accommodate unexpected items, like new insulation in the roof. The lead carpenter, Chris, is amazing. The craftmanship and attention to detail he shows is world class. We are still amazed at the millwork in all the rooms and extra fine detail work he did with the wood floor transition to the bathroom tile in the main bathroom. It's a work of art. This was our first time working with McAdams. We hired them to do a complete remodel of our powder room and laundry room, and we could not be happier with the results. Both rooms have been completely transformed and went from being the worst rooms in our house to the best. Our laundry room was a fairly extensive remodel, involving relocating plumbing from one wall to another, redoing electrical, installing a new on-demand water heater, hanging cabinets, and putting in a new quartz counter top and decorative glass backsplash. Both rooms had new fixtures, wainscotting, trim and doors installed. We have gone through many home remodeling projects (with different companies) in the past and I always find it a bit stressful, planning and especially living through construction. However, working with Dale, Kat and their designer Kristina helped to take away a lot of that stress. They walked us through the design process, helping to pick colors, cabinets, fixtures, tile and quartz. Designer Kristina was somehow able to create a design for me that was exactly what I wanted, even though I’m not sure my description of what I wanted was all that clear! I met with Dale every week, and he was always very responsive to any feedback I gave him. Any issue I brought up, big or small, was always addressed by him in a timely manner. It is clear that ensuring that their clients are completely satisfied with their finished project is one of his and Kat’s top goals. Our foreman on this job was Mark, and he was great to work with. He kept us in the loop on what the plan would be every day and coordinated with Dale to get all the subcontractors on board. He is an excellent carpenter and was responsible for the millwork in our two rooms, and we are very pleased with how they came out. His attention to detail and desire for the best finished product really showed in how nicely it all came out. In the end, we now have two rooms that have added beauty and value to our house. We loved working with McAdams and are already starting to plan our next project with them!

McAdams Remodeling was our contractor for a very extensive remodel of our 2 story traditional home in Woodinville. They were involved from the initial planning/drafting stage all the way to the final small finishing details over a period of approximately 9 months. This included but not limited to: a master bath remodel, creating his and hers closets, a 4th garage stall, new hardwood floors, redo of our front stairs, a large rec room, a back patio extension and a new concrete driveway. Almost every room in the house was affected in some way. Through the entire process they were available, responsive and proactive. We had an excellent onsite project manager who had a great relationship with a myriad of subs. Frequent in person meetings allowed us to be sure we were on the same page regarding selections, timelines and expectations. We were extremely happy with McAdams performance, with the finished product and with their warranty of their work. Many contractors, once they are finished with your project and get their final payment, leave never to be heard from again. McAdams was very responsive in regards to followup and any minor warranty issues which arose. We are fussy and they never quibbled. Probably the best recommendation I can give is that we would hire them again for future projects.

McAdams designed and remodeled our Master Bath. The workmanship was excellent, the fit and finish truly amazing. We love the finished product.

We have absolutely loved working with McAdams. Len/Dale/Kat and their team managed our home remodel 2018/2019 (bedrooms, basement, kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace, floors, lighting etc etc) . We found McAdams on Houzz- they were the ONLY firm that actually returned our call + followed through! Our home is a 1980 post and beam construction/ quasi nw contemporary-ish (high ceilings/lots of windows) that was "flipped" before purchase. They helped transform our home into a place that is uniquely ours and a great place to raise our family. Len and Kat visited with us weekly and worked with our incredibly "wonky" schedules (full time working parents . . .) and helped ensure reasonable expectations were set and that our project was on time! Chris was our onsite manager contact and our kids still ask about "Mr. Chris" :) McAdams also partnered us with Kristina Ciccu who helped us with our design selections (and continues to help us- THANK YOU). We have been back in our home for almost 9 months now (we moved out for the remodel) and our neighbors are still complimenting the McAdams' team (on time, professional, kept the staging areas outside of our home clean, respectful of our neighbors). We highly recommend McAdams and we're about to start what we jokingly call "phase 3" in the near future.

We engaged McAdams Remodeling to do a complete remodel of our 27 year old kitchen. The project did not require moving any walls. McAdams did a redesign of the kitchen. The project involved demo, paint, cabinets & countertops, appliances, sinks, flooring, plumbing, electrical and a large walk-in pantry. McAdams group was professional in all aspects of the project. The design team presented great ideas at the same time fully listening to our opinions. The on-site manager of the project was talented and at all times professional. The project manager meetings were always on time and helpful. The job site was always clean and safe. The budget was adhered to, any changes were discussed and clear dollar amounts given. The on-line tracking and communication were more than helpful. Telephone calls, e-mail and texts were quickly returned. We knew that if we left information it was sure to get to the right person. A problem with a vendor was quickly dealt with, without our involvement. McAdams does a masterful job with communication. We had a family crisis right in the middle of the project. McAdams quickly and professional adjusted to our needs, for which we were grateful. The kitchen meets all of our expectations, it is beautiful and functions just as we envisioned. We would engage McAdams again and highly recommend them to family and friends.

We've been working with McAdams for just over a year now on the biggest, most complex remodel I've ever been a part of. They've turned our 4-car garage into a 1-car garage plus a complete master bedroom suite -- sitting area, bedroom area, walk-in closet and spectacular master bath -- complete with all the design work. We're 99.9% finished now; just getting a couple of the last inevitable glitches sorted out now that we're actually living in the space. It is breathtaking. I've never lived in a room that's as beautiful. The McAdams team did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier. The team McAdams gave us to work with -- both their in-house people and their subcontractors -- has been uniformly excellent. The ONLY reason this is a 4-star instead of a 5-star review is that in some ways, they can be just a little *too* determined to maintain their quality standards at all costs, and it makes them very cautious about accepting supply vendors with whom they haven't worked before. That wouldn't be a problem if your project is in the "modern craftsman" style that's so common in the Seattle area -- they work with top sources, and have a reasonable selection within that range. Our problem was that we wanted to do a Victorian period design style... and most of their vendors just didn't have anything at all that would come anywhere close to that aesthetic. Special kudos to Mark and Lynn, who both did a lot of work to help me understand what my options were and WHY a specific product couldn't be done in the context I was considering! When they told me there was a technical issue, I yielded to their professional judgment... it's only when they told me that it *could* work; they'd just rather I didn't use a source unfamiliar to them, that I stood my ground and insisted. To their credit, they generally took this graciously, and we worked together pretty amicably throughout a long, complicated project. Also, Travis, the lead carpenter who has run our project down in the nuts and bolts, has been amazing from the beginning. I've never worked with a better craftsman. I would hire McAdams again in a heartbeat if I had the right kind of project. If I had another period piece, I might go with a company that enjoys doing them, though, because *I'd* have more options, and *they'd* have fewer headaches from trying to work with me! But hopefully at least a couple of the vendors I found will make their way only McAdams' preferred provider list so that other clients who have something less modern in mind will have more options to choose from. Aside from that one issue I can recommend them without reservation.

The professionalism and comprehensive approach that the McAdams team brought to our project was exceptional. There were many components that needed several artisans and craftsman on our stucco and cedar home and they were able to provide the contractors that each had an equal knowledge to theirs and the end product far exceeded our expectations. The initial bid and project projection was quite comprehensive and stayed within the project scope throughout the project. The crew was a pleasure to work with daily. McAdams Remodeling turned a 1979 kitchen into a new and exciting space. The space would not fit an island, but the McAdams team came up with the perfect solution by adding a Cambria topped table. The ideal dining spot.

This is not our first rtime working with McAdams Remodeling & Design. Ten years ago they did a wonderful complete remodel of our living room, from new ceiling to new flooring, plus finished basement, plumbing, heating, electricity, etc. The workmanship was (still is) of the highest quality, and to the is day we delight in the wonderful space McAdams created for us. Our latest project with them was the building of an 12' x 8' covered deck off the kitchen that serves as a kind of outdoor mudroom. Chris was the carpenter in charge. He is not only an excellent builder; he is a very amiable and nice person who cared about doing the best job possible. Travis did the painting and put the finishing touches on the main work. Both men were entirely professional at all times - working cleanly, respectfully and well. It was a pleasure having them around. The finished product, a covered deck, we must say, is exactly what we had hoped for. McAdams is the best!

McAdams just completed a window replacement on our home and, as in every previous project, the workers were prompt and courteous, the work was professional, and met all expectations.

We just completed a follow up/warranty review of our 2012 remodeling project with Len McAdams, and I am happy to report there were no issues to discuss! Remodeling a 1939 vintage home was a challenging task, but we managed to retain the charm of the original structure while giving us the functionality and efficiency of brand new construction!

Just as the demo was complete, life delivered several intense and all-consuming challenges and my plate became entirely full. They stepped in like I would never have imagined or expected. Their professional and caring team allowed me to focus on what I needed to take care of and I was free of worry or the need to micromanage the project in any way. They did what they said they would do. The project was completed on time and within budget. They communicated daily as to the status and/or any changes to the schedule. McAdams Remodeling and Design pricing will not be the least expensive as they are a ‘turn-key’ builder and I will tell you that they are worth every single penny. This became even clearer to me this last summer when I hired a large box store to do a master bathroom remodel. My thinking was, ignorantly, “it’s only a bathroom do I really need a ‘turn-key’ builder?” The answer is a resounding YES!! Not only did a 5 week job turn into a 9 week job, on a daily basis I was dealing with contractors that didn’t show up, who did shabby work when they did, there was no communication between anyone involved in the project and certainly not with me. There was absolutely NO project management component. It was 9 weeks of stress and frustration. The complete bathroom looks nice but unlike the McAdams project, when I walk into it, the amount of stress involved in the completion entirely diminishes the beauty of the job. Finally, Len Mc Adams recently contacted me for a follow up on my 2008 kitchen/living room remodel. They do this this periodically after a job is completed. When he saw the areas of my bathroom remodel that were either sub-par or were still not complete on my bathroom remodel, he offered to come in and finish the project. Kitchen remodeling. People of McAdams, including their sub-contractors are all very good, professionally and personally. They are confident on what they do and take pride of their works. They listened to our concerns and questions seriously and responded to our satisfaction. The construction of the remodeling was completed in timely fashion and within the contract budget. The leadership by Chris, project manager, throughout the construction, was the key. Furthermore, he is fun to be around with and also helped us happily survive the rather rough daily life of without kitchen, noises, dust and etc.

We had our kitchen remodeled completely, in addition to light remodeling done on our entire main level (including family room, living room, dining room, hall, stairs, front door). It completely renewed our 15 year old house into something beautiful that we enjoy every day. It was a great experience even though our house was torn up for a couple months. They worked with us to get exactly what we wanted, offering really helpful design ideas that made the end result as good or better than we could have hoped for. In fact they won an award for our kitchen remodel. And, there were no surprises with the budget. We always knew exactly what things were going to cost and when we were to pay for them. We've all heard horror stories about remodeling projects mushrooming in costs, but the only increases we had were choices that we made. Another thing that is really important, is that they're all really nice people that we now consider friends. Old family company with a great work ethic and commitment to making their customers happy — so they'll write reviews like this! ;-) I strongly recommend you consider this company if you have a remodeling project in mind.

McAdams completed a 3.5 month remodeling/home addition project for us in Jan 2014 and we are extremely happy with the results, as well as the process to get there. Remodeling while living in the house is stressful and they took great pains to make it as easy on us as they could. The subcontractors they chose were reliable and did gorgeous work, and McAdams manages all interactions so we didn't have to deal with any of the scheduling, quality control, etc. We added about 1000 square feet of living space and significantly modified the exterior of our house. They did an excellent job of turning our requests and requirements into a functional, beautiful design that doesn't look like we just plunked down a box onto the side of our house. They are honest and easy to work with, and we would definitely contact them again for other remodeling projects. I highly recommend these guys!

McAdams Remodeling & Design has done projects for us since 1984, all of them extensive. Our original house was 2,000 sf, and the first remodel took it to 3,000 sf (500 in a kitchen/family room; 500 in a master bedroom suite). In January their well qualified craftsmen came to our house and completely remodeled the master bedroom suite, updating it to a 2014 appearance and function. New hardwood floors were added, as well as a large window that enhances our view, and several built-ins for books and storage. The new bathroom, with a glass block wall, soaking tub, and spacious dual-head shower takes the breath away of all who see it. We are delighted with the outcome of this project and looking forward to many years enjoying it. Plus, we now have shiny refinished hardwood floors throughout the house as well as two new French door units in our kitchen/family room. We appreciate our house's new features that perfectly blend in with the old, memory-filled rooms that have kept us here for so many years . I have had the pleasure of working with McAdams as their painting contractor of choice for the last four plus years. I am always impressed with their fairness and their willingness to do whatever it takes to make sure the client is happy. Their lead carpenters are both skillful and interface well between the subs and the homeowner. The best thing about them is they have had their key team members for a long time, I think an average of 17 years or so for many of them. That gives a stability and dedication to the long range vision that most companies just don't have.

I had McAdams install new cabinets along a stretch of bare wall in our dining room. The base cabinets spanned the entire wall (172") and we also installed two upper wall glass cabinets with shelves. Dale came out to our home and gave us a realistic estimate on time and costs. Rich (installer) was extremely courteous and his attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the instillation. When hiring someone to do a job like this, I was more concerned that the job was done right instead of quick and sloppy. I could tell Rich was an expert, as I checked in on his meticulous work. His work area was very clean and he was respectful of everything else in our house. Would recommend to anyone without hesitation.
