Back splash behind stove.

Our home originally came with a giant double-oven slide in stove, when we replaced it for a more modern appliance, we were left with a very odd back splash behind it that wasn't going to be integrated into the rest of the kitchen without a major remodel, so we decided to dress it up and make it a quirky feature in our kitchen. You need to adjust the little shelf it is not level

I think it may have a slight bend on the front or it somehow creates some kind of weird optical illusion because I thought so when I first hung it, but I've checked it (then and again now) and both the shelf the metal plate are level.

if you put a level on it and its level...its level. maybe its the dark/light unevenness in the shadow below it.

I think it is the shadowing doing it, I hadn't really noticed before how not level it looks in the photo, it doesn't look this crazy in person.
