We have an older kitchen (last remodeled in the late 60s). Brown linoleum flooring, white oak wood cabinets and beige formica countertops and backsplash. The walls are currently painted white (wainscotting) and butter yellow upper walls.

I am looking to give the kitchen an inexpensive refresh as we just cannot afford to remodel the kitchen at this time as we have other pressing matters to attend to (windows! so many windows!! As second bathroom). Thought is to paint the cabinets, put down new linoleum flooring and paint the walls. Most importantly, I will NOT be changing the countertops/backsplash :-(

So, what are some good cabinet and/or wall paint colors that go with beige formica? My dishware is in the blue and white with a touch of red/orange in them, so I was trying to take inspiration from them.

Or should I just change the flooring and paint the walls and call it a day? The cabinets are in great shape (previous owners and I take good care of them with cleaning them) so I feel terribly painting such nice solid wood cabinets. But I am in desperate need of a refresh. I am sick of my kitchen!!
